UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules

United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (“UNCITAL”) in pursuing its 40-year activity in order to modernize and harmonize rules of international business has published a set of rules, titled as “UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules”. The rules first published in 1976 and was subject to review and amendments two times in 2010 and 2013 respectively. “UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules” comprehensively covers all the procedures in an arbitration proceeding upon which the parties to a dispute may agree. In the document, different aspects of an international arbitration, including arbitration clause, arbitrator(s) appointment, administration of the proceedings, issuing the award and its interpretation, are predicted and regulated. The final version of the rules is accessible here.
