Iran and Italy’s collaboration in gathering Flare gases


Ansaldo Company, National Iranian South Oil Company, Pars Oil & Gas Company, Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, and Iran Fuel Conservation Company signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of gathering Flare gases for generating electricity and also modernization of oil and gas equipment on 18 October 2017.

By virtue of the mentioned agreement, Ansaldo  will continue its collaboration in two steps through using the technology of converting torch gases (flares) into electricity which will make 600 megawatts of electricity in the first stage and nearly 1,000 megawatts in the second stage and it also increases the efficiency of the equipment and optimizes energy consumption.

It is worth mentioning that Iran Fuel Conservation Company has a significantly facilitating role in using the capacity prescribed in Article 12 of the Elimination of Production Barriers Code, and communication of companies with the financers and foreign producers. However, this company is not involved in defining and executing projects.
